Affected by the Medicare termination of Fox Insurance Company?
The federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has terminated its contract with Fox Insurance Company after determining that the plan’s “significant deficiencies” jeopardized the health and safety of Fox enrollees in Florida and elsewhere. Some 55,000 older Floridians are affected by this action. Florida’s Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders program, or SHINE, has launched an extensive public outreach campaign to provide free assistance to those residents who previously received their Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage through Fox Insurance. If you are affected by the termination of Fox Insurance, you will not lose prompt access to your medications. SHINE counselors can help you enroll in alternative Medicare plans.
